The cottage is completely self-contained and is set in the grounds of a mediaeval water mill, where my mother lives full-time and I live for part of the week. Our main reason for offering the cottage is to have a couple who can act as caretakers when I am not there.

Location:
The location is very rural and secluded, but only four miles from Alton, eight miles from Farnham and eleven miles from Petersfield. For a map of the area see "Description".

Interior:
The cottage was totally re-fitted in 2008 and includes:

• A split-level living room
• A new fitted kitchen/dining-room
• A large double bedroom
• An en-suite bathroom and WC
• A small bedroom/study-room
• A utility room
• A cloakroom with a shower and a second WC

Availability:
The cottage will be available from 1 October 2009.

Setting:
The cottage is exceedingly tranquil and private: it is about fifty yards from the main house and faces away from it. The cottage has its own garden and is situated close to woodlands, pasture, an orchard and a small river that leads to the water mill. What we want from you:
We have had couples in the cottage for a number of years. In return for the free accommodation, they have made sure that our premises are secure and have done various odd jobs. (We already employ a cleaner and a gardener.) We can be quite flexible, so that the times you would help us would not interfere with your jobs, etc. For more information see "What we want from you".
